Online video is one of the best venues to engage an audience
- don't even think about excluding it! It's extremely
viral and YouTube.com is now the third most highly trafficked
search engine!
We'll talk about creating your own YouTube channel below,
but first, here are some sample videos so you can see how easy
it is to get the word out.
These were made with -
Flip Video Camera (about $150 at the time of this
writing)
Tripod ($20)
Windows Movie Maker (included on PCs) or ScreenFlow on
Mac
Me!
All other software and tools are in the camera or Windows
Movie Maker.
Here is my big disclaimer - YouTube picks some funky screen
shots to show, as you'll see by the weird faces that display on
my videos. Oh well, it's the message, not being the best
looking, ha!

So, get a YouTube Channel -
The first thing you need to do, if you
haven't already, is to create your own YouTube Channel. It's
simple to do. Go to YouTube.com and find the link to
create an account.
This is your first step towards becoming a video creator,
and Broadcasting Yourself!
There are many other video sites you can upload to, as well
as Facebook and other social sites, but we'll start here.
Here are some advantages of having
your own channel:
The ability to arrange your own and others content in a
single location, with its own YouTube URL (e.g.
http://www.youtube.com/jackielulmer)
The opportunity to create a profile for yourself and
your content, and link back to your website URL. This
is big!
The chance to start creating play lists from your own
and other people's content
The opportunity to get yourself highly ranked in the
search engines through keywords specific to you
So, get over there and get creative! It's easy. Much easier
than I ever dreamed it would be. I can whip out 4 videos in an
hour, including "wardrobe changes!"
