Here are a few ideas to use when thinking about your intention and goals when you create content for social media. You’re going to be sharing out there regularly, and you want to make sure that you are targeting people from all different areas.
Our goals and intentions revolve most often around:
Creating Raving fans
Creating Buyers or clients
Your social media strategy is best served when it incorporates all of these into what it is that you share. We have an ideal client, a targeted audience, and much of what we do from a more business, educational perspective is going to be geared toward that ideal client.
But what about others who are out there, who might be our ideal client they just aren’t in our particular area online right now?
Our goals on social media are to inspire, entertain, and educate. And it’s great to incorporate a little bit of who you are into what it is you do. I like to do this through humor.
Sometime ago a bunch of messages came out through Facebook messenger, warning everybody not to accept a friend request from Jayden smith. Who the heck is Jayden Smith, I thought?
I went out on the Internet and found a funny meme of Will Ferrell talking about “OK I won’t except a friend request from Jayden Smith.”
I shared that on my personal Facebook profile, and it got nearly 100 other people sharing it. Nearly 100 other people shared my post, and when you think about the Facebook statistics of roughly 300 people; that’s the average number of friends that most Facebook users have. So, if 100 people shared that post out, that potentially put me out in front of 30,000 new people who could become new warm market.
All of them then had the opportunity to click back and look at my profile, and see if we had anything in common. That’s a great way to expand awareness, and ultimately interest.
That’s how we create raving fans who turn into buyers and clients and then always have A call to action.
